Running a business is never easy. For trans women, the obstacles are heavier, sharper, and often invisible to others.

I know this first-hand. I’m Ms. Kelly. I grew up in the UK, earned a master’s degree, and worked since I was 15. But after I came out as trans, the ground shifted beneath me. Family ties dissolved.
My world shrank overnight. I had to start over in a new country with little more than courage and survival instinct.

From Hotels to Healing Spaces

At first, I worked in hotels as a massage therapist. But that path quickly revealed its shadows: racism, harassment, unsafe environments. I realized I couldn’t thrive—or protect my dignity—in spaces that treated me as less than human.

So I built something of my own. With the help of a friend, I launched a business rooted in presence, safety, and care. A space where both I, and my clients, could exhale without fear.

The Nomadic Dream

Now, my vision is to take this healing further: a mobile studio. Imagine a warm, private van turned into a sanctuary on wheels, bringing safe, respectful touch wherever it’s most needed.

But dreams like this don’t build themselves. They require resources: private rooms to rent, supplies that honor clients’ bodies, legal protections that shield me from risk, and the daily costs that keep me strong enough to hold space for others.
